According to the African Union
In 2015, under the current conditions, only 68% of the African populations will have access to safe drinking water and 41% to sanitation. The plan of action created to help Africa to reach the MDGs, presented at the summit for Heads of State and the government of Charm el-Cheikh, forsees allowing 33 million Africans access to drinking water and 41 million to sanitation, every year until 2015.

19 African countries decided in Charm el-Cheickh to form immediately the Union Government in order to reach the United States of Africa’s target.(USAfrica). The African zone represents: 53 countries, 920 millions inhabitants, 5 economic zones,a GNP/inhabitant of 2170 $, a 6,2% growth rate for 2007 and a 12,7% inflation rate for 2007

SME/SMIs represent about 19.5 million, of which European businesses make up 99.99% and 70% of jobs. The EU, as part of its programme to support SMEs, plans to dedicate 200 billion euros for the period 2007 – 2013. The European Private Company (EPC) will be the new support structure for SME. The partnership between European and African SMEs constitute an efficient means to promote transfers of know-how and technology in the Water and Energy sectors in Africa. Such is the main goal of the EURAFRIC Forum

We will have time to achieve the objectives, in the majority, if not all, of the countries in the world, as long as we break from our routines. Success depends on consistent support for the next 10 years. We need time to train teachers, nurses and engineers, to build roads, schools and hospitals, to create small businesses and large companies which will provide jobs and incomes. This is why we must begin immediately. In the next few years we must more than double worldwide aid for development, otherwise, it will not be possible to achieve the goals.
